Audrey actually said his poetry wasn’t good in a facebook post and got lit up for it. Folks were saying that she was tearing him down, not being respectful, etc etc. Our current western society lacks a true culture of critical thought in a lot of ways, but the American evangelical christian sub-culture is bankrupt of it. All things are subjective; all things are personal; all things are spiritualized. This grates to the core of me as an Orthodox Catholic AND a lover of art.
